Cut File Studio3 Version

Cut File PNG Version

Without further ado, here are my two projects for this week's blog hop. They are both created using the cut file in two totally different ways! You can also find the process videos that go with them by clicking on the links for each project.

Project #1: Hawaiian Sunshine
For this one, I used the cut file combined with some oversized tags from the Target Dollar Stop bins to create three mini shaker pockets and combining it with elements from Elle's Studio Sunny Days Collection as well as some word stickers from Authentique. The sequin packages from SpiegelMom Scraps that I used in this one included: Amy's Sprinkles and Sunny Smiles. Click here to go to the process video!

For this project, I used the cut file in a more traditional way and backed the hearts with different patterned papers from the new Fancy Pants Millie and June Collection. The sequin details on this page came from SpiegelMom Scraps and are called Raspberry Daisy Dream which is a beautiful set. Click here to go to the process video!

Don't forget to click on the links above to check out the process videos for these two layouts. C.R.A.F.T. Challenge--Christmas

Happy Thursday!  That means it's time for another C.R.A.F.T. Challenge and this week we are being challenged to create a Christmas project! It is really important to me that I am able to show quick and simple card designs using up some leftover scraps or a few details that make a statement. I am a scrapbooker and memory keeper first, however, cards are a great way for me to use up those extras and send a personal touch. Keeping with that, here is my project for this week....a few torn strips of scrap paper, a leftover tag, and a wood veneer sediment...boom...cute card! The finishing detail of some pink Stickles adds just enough pop to make this card unique!

I hope you enjoy and feel inspired to grab some of your leftovers and create a fun Christmas project this week! Make sure to visit the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge blog to see the amazing creations from the rest of the design team and to show us your Christmas project as well. Happy Crafting!!

Happy Thursday and welcome back for another weekly C.R.A.F.T. Challenge! This week we are being challenged to create a Thank You/Teacher project. We are at that point of starting to prepare and think about Back to School here where I live and so the timing on this is perfect! Here is the card that I created for the challenge this week using a glassine bag and a bunch of die cut flowers. My though behind it was saying Thanks a Bunch! C.R.A.F.T. Challenge--Sketch

Happy Thursday! This week on the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge we have been challenged to create a project using a sketch. This was a fairly basic sketch to use and I tried to stick pretty closely to the elements that were within the sketch.  Below, I have included a picture of the sketch that we need to use this week.

For my project, I created the card below. The chipboard piece that I used was from the Crate Paper Little You Girl Collection.  All of the patterned papers came from a paper pad from Teresa Collins that is just called Blush. I even managed to pull out some very old mini brads and some sparkly black alpha chips from Me and My Big Ideas.

Overall, this card came together pretty quickly and would be adorable tucked into the top of a gift for a baby shower. I hope that you enjoyed this project and make sure to head on over to the C.R.A.F.T. Challenge blog to see what everyone else on the design team created as well as to link us to a project that you create with this sketch. Happy Crafting!!

Stick It Down Design Team

Hi Guys!
I am super excited to finally get to announce that I have joined the Stick It Down Design Team. This awesome challenge blog offers monthly sketches for single-page scrappers, double-page scrappers, and card designers to use as inspiration. Make sure to check out the blog to meet the rest of the design team, check out their work, and participate in the fun! Here is the July Sketch that we had to work with this month....

I tried to keep my layout very close to the original sketch except that I switched the title and journaling to the opposites sides of the layout. Here is my super bright and fun layout for this month...

I started out knowing that I wanted to hand stitch the boxes on the bottom and just used 2x2 cardstock squares as my guide to punch the holes to stitch into. I then added the fun vellum hearts from Studio Calico in each of the boxes. The black and white patterned paper is one of my favorites from the She Blooms collection by Illustrated Faith. I added some paint streaks  (Dina Wakley) in colors that would match the layout and then added a few embellishments and some thickers from Amy Tan to the title. The mini wood veneer sunglasses are from Jillibean Soup are just colored to match with gelatos. This is a super bright and fun layout and I had a blast creating it. I can't wait to see how you use this sketch to create a fun layout this month. Head on over to the Stick It Down blog to check out the rest of the projects from the design team and to link us to your work so that we can check it out. Have fun and happy crafting!!

For the Love of Homemade Kits: July: Kit Share

Happy Sunday! I am so excited to be participating in the For the Love of Homemade Kits Series with Hannah Lemieux, Megan Paulos Blethen, and Felicia Young over on You Tube for another round of creating. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, this series uses a recipe of items to create a kit from our stash that is based around an inspiration piece. Then, these amazingly talented ladies spend four weeks creating layouts and process videos from the ingredients in their kits. The idea is to start digging in our stash and use a combination of both new and old products to create some amazing layouts. Each week, you will be able to see a process video and layout from each of us on our You Tube channels using our individual kits. YAY! Click here to check out my kit share for week one of the For the Love of Homemade Kits Series: July.  The first process video will be posted on Tuesday, July 5th so you don't even have to wait a whole week this time!
